A solar photovoltaic (PV) system produces valuable electricity - it is crucial to use as much of it as possible. If solar power is (not) used at the same time, a battery is necessary to store the electrical energy. The solar energy produced over the entire day can be stored in the solar power storage or the battery via an intelligent control system. One can use the stored energy when it is needed - even during the night.

The battery technology is almost mature, however, for terrestrial application. PRISED Solar is planning to improve the batteries, not only for terrestrial applications but also for applications in space. One of the worst disadvantages of existing batteries is their weight. Our focus is to reduce the (weight) of the batteries so that the storage of electrical energy in space (for satellite or Space station applications) becomes feasible.
